1. Who we are

Bible Utility Belt ("BUB," "the app," "we") is a personal hobby project developed and maintained voluntarily by a single developer (evanda). It is not a company, not a commercial product, and has no revenue.

2. Data we collect

None. BUB does not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information, usage data, device identifiers, or any other data about you or your use of the app.

Specifically, BUB does not collect:

• Identity information — name, email address, phone number, etc.
• Device information — device model, OS version, device identifiers
• Location data — GPS coordinates or inferred location
• Usage data — which passages you read, how long you use the app, etc.
• Analytics — no event tracking, session recording, or heatmaps
• Crash reports — no automatic error or crash reporting

3. Network access

BUB is designed to work entirely offline. Bible text, lexicons, map tiles, genealogy data, and cross-references are bundled directly into the app at install time. Commentary content is delivered via Google Play's Asset Delivery — a one-time download from Google Play's servers, the same mechanism used to install the app itself — after which it lives on your device like everything else.

Beyond that one-time install/asset download, the app makes no network requests during normal use. There is no BUB-operated server, no backend, no API, and no cloud component of any kind.

4. On-device storage

BUB stores data on your device for the sole purpose of providing app functionality:

• Reading plan progress — which days you have checked off, stored in your device's local storage
• Bookmarks & highlights — verses you've bookmarked and any highlight colors you've applied, stored locally
• Settings — your chosen Bible translation, color theme, font size, interlinear preference, and daily reminder time, stored locally

This data never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server and is not accessible to the developer or any third party.

5. Third-party services

BUB does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or data-collection SDKs. There are no third-party tracking libraries in the app.

All libraries used by BUB are open-source and chosen specifically because they operate entirely on-device without external communication.

6. Children

Because BUB collects no data from anyone, it is safe for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or any other users.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date. Given the nature of this app, no material changes are expected — there is simply no data to handle differently.
